Navarre Beach
Navarre Beach is truly one of Florida’s most hidden gems. It can be over looked by tourist traveling through going to the very popular Destin or Pensacola Beaches, it can be passed by without a second thought as to what is awaiting its visitors.
While it may look like any other beach on the Emerald Coast, Navarre Beaches holds some extraordinary sights. A sloping white sugar sands sea scape stretch on as far as the eye can see, the white quartz sand give the water that emerald green hue, however white sands and glassy green water isn’t all that Navarre Beach has.
Navarre beach is one of the most popular sea shell hunting grounds with a variety of specimens to be found! There is also a variety of plant life, my favorite is the wispy tall sea grass that dance in the ocean breeze. The tall wispy sea grass adds some beautiful variety to a beach session gallery.

One truly remarkable feature of Navarre Beach is Golden Hour. Regardless of overcast, the gold light will still come through!
The photos from the session you are viewing were take moments before a rain storm. Although it was over cast those golden tones still peered through!

Here is another session taken during golden hour on a clear day. Notice how lighting changes the mood of the photos entirely!
While the first photo sessions is overcast and most of the harsh lighting is filtered by the clouds, we still see those gold and earthy tones, the overcast light give the photos a moody and intimate feel. The lighting in the next set of photos will show a vibrant and deeper tones while still casting that golden glow.
In the warm summer month a great way to add variety to the session is “splash photos”! During your entire session the water has been waving at you, so why not greet it back with some playful splash photos. Don’t be afraid of a little water, I always bring a few extra towels.
While golden hour is popular, if you time your photo session just right, you can have golden hour and sunset photos! This next family booked a magical Sunset Session and it’s so dreamy!
Sunset, the last bit of sunlight that kisses the day goodnight.
A Navarre Beach sunset, as the sun begins to set, it kisses the day goodnight. The sun puts forth its last effort to warm the day and the warmth does transfer to these photos. What colors can you expect during the last sunlight of the day? Watch as the glassy emerald water turns to a deep sea foam green, birds hurt home to rest after a long day, that once white sugar sand now looks more like light brown sugar, and still holds the warmth from the sun. Even the waves seems to calm down as the tide goes down for the evening, washing away the footprint of the beach day visitors.
These photos will have an after golden glow, tones will be more earthy and natural. Sunset photos are best during a clear forecast with a few scattered clouds to reflect that last bit of golden sun shine.
