Rustic & Cozy

I always love to take time to plan out my sessions and make sure I deliver exactly what my families are looking for, for this particular session I traveled to Wyoming. I spoke extensively with the parents to be sure I packed all the props I would need for this session.

The family loves the great out doors and loved to hike so I wanted to incorporate all the woodsy and nature feels. I collected fresh pine and cleaned them before my session. As I started putting my prop sets together I knew this was exactly what this family was looking for. The earthy tones, pine cones and plaid tied it all together.

Those I was limited with not having a bean bag to get my other poses I was still able to give a divers gallery and incorporate several different shots with the 2 props I was limited to. My favorite part of this gallery is the froggy pose on the wire bed prop. You can see so many little details, those little fingers, those chubby cheeks and that perfect button nose!

If you are looking for a rustic, woodsy aesthetic for you session, I’d love to get in touch and start planning your session.

I love this rustic aesthetic for little boys. The darker earth tones, the textures and layers complement these little ones so well. Plus I can’t get over those sweet little bear ears!

I am always adding to my prop stash and looking for rustic props but the most used props for this style tend to be the wired bed, honey pot bucket, wooden bowl and the wooden box. These four props really bring this whole look together.

I use several poses, like hands on chin, froggy and that little potato wrapped pose with these props to give verity to my clients gallery. Many of these poses and used during the posing bean portion of the session. With the posing bean I like to use several backdrops that complement the color scheme that my clients have choses for their session.
